Transforming employees into entrepreneurs
Driving cultural change by providing training in idea development and corporate entrepreneurship to a wide range of employees.
Who is Covestro?
Covestro is among the world’s leading suppliers of premium polymers. Previously part of Bayer, Covestro was established in 2015. They are headquartered in Leverkusen, Germany and employ 16,800+ people across 30 sites.
What did they aim to achieve?
Creating a new company culture and mission based on the experience of more than 80 years of innovative leadership, Covestro used training in idea development and corporate entrepreneurship to transform employees into entrepreneurs.
“At Covestro, innovation is everyone and everywhere”
How we did it?
Following Covestro’s Start-up Challenge, where the top 6 teams were given the opportunity to develop their ideas into fully fledged pitches, an additional 30+ teams attended small-scale idea camps across Europe, Asia and North America.
With the idea camps Covestro was able to influence cultural change by providing training in idea development and corporate entrepreneurship to a wider range of employees. This training boosted both entrepreneurial skillset and mindset across the organisation. Furthermore, learnings could be applied to their ideas as well as everyday work projects.
